De Soto Man Arrested On Child Porn Charges | Crime

A 25-year-old De Soto man has been arrested for allegedly downloading child pornography images at Jefferson College.

According to Sheriff Oliver Boyer, detectives had been investigating the discovery of images containing child pornography in a men’s restroom at the college for several weeks.

Surveillance revealed that Johnnie Lewis was in the computer lab at the college library on Monday and detectives observed him download images and take them into the restroom.

After he left the restroom detectives detained him and located pornographic images in the trash.

Lewis admitted to detectives that he had been downloading child pornography from the computers in the library on at least four occasions. He claimed to have no other access to computers.

Lewis was a community individual using the college’s Library services.

Lewis was charged with one count of Possession of Child Pornography.

He is being held at the Jefferson County Jail without bond.
